The capacity of the mineral processing industries of West Azerbaijan reached 98 million tons
Head of Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan: The production capacity of mineral processing and conversion industries in this province has reached 98 million 733 thousand 641 tons per year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Gholamreza Babaei stated: This processing capacity is active and performed by 847 units of processing and conversion of minerals in different sections of sand, metallic and non-metallic minerals and gold in the province.
He continued: more than 18 thousand and 334 billion rials have been invested to set up these units of conversion industries, which is about 10 times more than today's exchange rate.
The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan said: "These units have provided stable employment for 22 thousand and 53 people in this province."
Referring to the field of activity of these conversion industries, Babaei stated: washing and granulation of building stone materials (sand, sand, ballast), gold concentrate, washed and granulated sand, unreinforced concrete products from ordinary concrete, compact bricks, all kinds of pottery Machine (automatic) and ordinary fluid concrete are the fields of activity of mineral conversion and processing industries in this province.
He said: "One of the biggest advantages of this province in the development of conversion industries is the border of West Azerbaijan with three foreign countries, which can greatly facilitate exports and be a good market for the products of these production units."
According to IRNA, the mining and downstream industries are the axis of development of West Azerbaijan, but the stone mines of this province face many problems such as selling raw materials and lack of market; Granting facilities with low bank interest rates for working capital as well as modernization of mining machinery is necessary to improve the performance of mines in this province.
West Azerbaijan is in a good position in terms of mineral reserves, but it still has a long way to go before it can fully exploit the capacities of the mining sector and the mining industry.
The territory of West Azerbaijan is covered by three of the twenty zones of systematic exploration of the country, including "Oshnoyeh-Khoy", "Marivan-Mahabad" and "Shahindaj-Mahneshan".
The main industries of West Azerbaijan are concentrated in the processing of fruits, food and non-metallic minerals.
