83% growth of stone extraction in Hamedan
The Deputy Minister of Mines of the Hamedan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization announced an 83% increase in the province's mining capacity and said: "In the last two years, 4.6 million tons have been added to the mining products of this region."
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Khaki stated: A total of 66 mines in the province, including iron ore, lead, dolomite, feldspar, andalusite, travertine, marble, black granite, mineral pumice, gypsum, industrial lime, construction carcass, silica and Sands have increased extraction capacity.
He said: the initial capacity of these mines was 5 billion 548 million 603 tons, which has now reached 10 billion 159 million 856 tons.
Deputy Minister of Mines of Hamedan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, stating that 80% of the province's mines are equipped with processing units, added: Mines that need processing will be given the necessary permits.
Referring to the development of ferrosilicon mining industries, magnesium extraction from dolomite, iron concentrate and pelletizing, Khaki emphasized: "By launching these industries, we seek to create added value and prevent the sale of raw materials in mines."
He also announced a significant increase in government salaries this year and said: in the first 6 months of this year, 12 billion and 200 million tomans of government salaries were received from the mines and transferred to the treasury, which is 11 billion and 800 in the last 12 months of last year. It has been a million tomans.
According to Khaki, this increase is due to the growth of mineral ore production in the province.
The Deputy Minister of Mines of the Hamedan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, referring to the employment of 2,400 people in the mining sector of the province, noted: With the activation of stagnant mines, 1,200 people will be added to the total number of employees.
He reminded: out of 280 mines in Hamedan province, 120 are inactive in the field of construction materials, decorative stone, metal and non-metal stones, and their return to the production cycle is on the agenda.
Khaki said: "Since last year, 20 stagnant mines have been activated and are being produced with the support of the government, and the removal of obstacles and problems of other closed mines continues."
The Deputy Minister of Mines of the Hamedan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization emphasized: According to the decision of the Supreme Council of Mines, in case of reluctance of the exploiters to activate the mines they have, they will be deprived of their authority and handed over to qualified new applicants.
Hamedan has about 2 billion tons of 60 billion tons of explored reserves in the country.
