Carrying out 50,000 square kilometers of mineral reserves
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade: In the first 6 months of this year, 50,000 square kilometers of mineral reserves were explored (identification, search, general and detailed exploration), which will reach 100,000 square kilometers by the end of the year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Alireza Shahidi stated: "According to the plan to achieve the goal of 115,000 square kilometers of mineral reserves exploration for this year, which will be achieved with the participation of the private sector and public resources before the end of the twelfth government."
He added: "The outbreak of coronary heart disease in the first half of this year has led to shortcomings and shortcomings, and with the efforts of the organization's experts, this difficult stage has been passed and technical missions in the field of mineral reserves and geological studies have not been disrupted."
64% realization of the applied geological map program
The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade pointed out that the preparation of applied geological maps at different scales (land and sea) in the first 6 months of this year amounted to 30 map sheets - a report that nearly 64% of the program's quantitative target of 47 map sheets - The predicted report was realized.
He mentioned the new method of conducting aerial geophysical exploration with the financing of the private sector in the form of multilateral agreements in the mining provinces as other programs of the Geological Survey of the country before the end of the twelfth government.
The head of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization added: "Using the latest technologies and localized experience, this organization has predicted an increasing change in terms of exploration rate and identification of new mineral reserves and reaching a new record in the twelfth government."
Achieve two-thirds of the risk map program in the first six months of this year
Regarding the performance of the organization in preparing engineering maps and geological and environmental hazards (earthquakes, dust, floods, subsidence, climate change, etc.), he noted: The slightly anticipated goal for this year is to achieve 30 reports - sheets In the first 6 months of this year, 22 reports - the map sheet achieved nearly 75% of the program goal.
According to Shahidi, last year, 35 maps were prepared in the field of preparing engineering maps and geological hazards such as earthquakes, dust, floods, subsidence, climate and marine changes. The number of applied geological maps prepared is 47, which is the target. Realized.
Carrying out 22,000 linear kilometers of aerial geophysics
The head of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country, while reminding the amount of aerial geophysical surveys that were targeted for last year at 30,000 linear kilometers, said: with 35,000 linear kilometers, the targeted program was exceeded.
He added: "This year, exploration by aerial geophysical methods (harvesting, processing, interpretation, modeling and introduction of promising areas) has been defined as a goal of 35,000 linear kilometers, which in the first half of this year was about 63% and 22,000 linear kilometers." Found.
Achieving the goal of more than 70% of mineral analysis
Announcing the implementation of renovation projects and equipping earth science laboratories as one of the important infrastructures in accelerating exploration projects, Shahidi said: "Among the noteworthy points is the increase in efficiency in the field of mineral analysis and earth science laboratories by renovating and equipping these laboratories." From the beginning of this year to the end of September, mineral analysis has grown by more than 70%, which has accelerated the speed of exploration in the identification and search phase to an acceptable level.
He reminded: the analyzed geological and exploratory samples for this year have been defined as 28,000 samples of analysis, of which 20,000 samples were analyzed in the first half.
According to this report, the Organization of Geology and Mineral Exploration is responsible for conducting geological and mineral studies throughout the country, collecting the results of activities carried out in this field, creating coordinated, preparing, completing and publishing geological maps of Iran.
At present, exploration tasks at the national level are the responsibility of the Geological Survey of Iran, and this organization is responsible for geological studies of the country, and exploratory assessment of mineral resources other than hydrocarbons.
Various groups of organizations such as stratigraphy, petrology, sedimentology, marine geology, fossilology, tectonics, seismology, exploration, geophysics, geochemistry, geometics and various laboratories.
