Production of 120,000 tons of decorative stones in Lordegan city
Head of Lordegan Industry, Mining and Trade Department: Out of 11 decorative stone mines in this city, more than 120,000 tons of stone were produced and sent to the market this year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Homayoun Shojaei stated: The rare water-colored decorative stone mine of Felard Lordegan was inactive due to the economic recession and export barriers until 1392, when the government was active in prudence and hope and returned to the production cycle.
The head of the Lordegan County Department of Industry, Mines and Trade stated that the annual marble production capacity of the county is more than 10,000 tons and added: "If the infrastructure is prepared and the private sector participates, a product processing plant will be set up in the area."
Shojaei, referring to the activity of 15 mines in Lordegan city in the form of production of sand and gypsum with direct and indirect employment of about 80 people, emphasized: part of the mines in the region are inactive due to lack of liquidity.
According to him, in Lordegan city, 57 large, medium and small industrial units are currently active with employment of 1,100 people in the petrochemical, aquatic feed and detergent sectors, and the necessary infrastructure has been provided for investment in the city's industrial sector.
