Head of Mining Industries of Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: During 2016-2017, we witnessed an unprecedented growth in the field of investment in the mining industry of this province, so that last year more than 85% of investments in this region were made in the mining industry.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Zahra Sepehri in the joint meeting of the "Mining and Mining Industries" and "Investment and Money Market" commissions of the Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce added: out of a total of 73,300 billion rials of investment in the province during the last year, 65 There have been 1,800 billion rials in the mining industry, which indicates the movement of the province towards large investments.

He continued: In 1397, more than 77% of Khorasan Razavi investment occurred in the mining industry, so that out of a total of 43,300 billion rials invested in this sector, 33,210 billion rials were invested in the mining industry of the province. 

The head of the Mining Industries Department of the Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said: The number of mining industry units in Khorasan Razavi had a decreasing trend from 1394 to 1398, so that in 1394 more than 56 mining industry licenses were issued, but this number in Last year, it reached 37 units, but despite the decrease in the number of units in the mining industry, the amount of investment is still growing.

He considered foreign exchange obligations as the most important problem in the field of mining industries and added: "Currently, many units have development plans, but due to financial problems, the physical progress of their research and development plans has been five to six percent."

Sepehri continued: "Studies show that there are several obstacles to the import of machinery that this issue should be pursued."

He said: the services of the province should be in such a way that the production units and investors are willing to transfer their offices to this province.

The head of the Mining Industries Department of the Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization added: "Although the possibility of granting establishment licenses to 10 large industries has been removed from the provinces, this trend continues in Tehran."

The head of the Khorasan Razavi Mining House and the deputy chairman of the Mining and Mining Industries Commission of the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce also said at the meeting: "In this province, investment in basic industries has been neglected and these industries have moved towards assembly instead of being quick and profitable."

Gholamreza Nazparvar added: "25% of Khorasan Razavi industries are in the group of mining industries. Last year, 85% of investments were made in the province's mining sector. In other words, in recent years, economic activists have come to the conclusion that mining industries are the mother industry." And should be invested in this area.

He continued: "However, investment in the field should be reconsidered and investment in the field of mining as a parent industry should be taken seriously."

The head of the Khorasan Razavi Mining House said: "Inquiries in the field of mining have increased, so that in the past three inquiries were received for this field, but now these inquiries have increased to 13."

He added: "In addition, some laws have been developed for the mining sector and each executive body has its own rules, while if there is convergence, we will see overlap of laws and regulations and parallel work will be minimized."

Nazparvar continued: "Laws, coordination of mining devices and machinery are three points that should be paid special attention to, investment in the field of mining machinery should also be taken seriously, in which we see a lot of weakness.

The number of valid mining licenses in Khorasan Razavi is 914 with a reserve of 2.77 billion tons and a nominal extraction of 39.6 million tons with an investment of 109,072 billion rials and job creation for 10,336 people.

There are 46 types of minerals in Khorasan Razavi, which are the main known substances in the country. Metallic materials including iron ore, manganese, gold, chromite and copper and non-metallic materials including industrial soil, silica, kaolin, coal, construction materials and decorative stones are the main mines of Khorasan Razavi province.
