Iran, which has significant export potential to neighboring countries and even many distant countries, in this area of ​​export competition, has used all the power of different economic sectors in all provinces to not lag behind different countries.

Utilizing the potential capacities of different provinces, especially border provinces in this regard, has been highly regarded by managers and officials in the field of economics and exports, so that the most benefit in this regard is done and the export development process is always pursued rapidly.

West Azerbaijan is one of the provinces with significant export capacity, despite having 967 km of border with Turkey, Iraq and Nakhchivan, benefiting from the capacity of 9 customs and 6 markets on the border of all three countries, using the capacity of border cocoons and trade around the border. It is one of the most important capacities of this province in this field.

Of course, in this regard, the existence of human capacity, experienced traders and merchants should also be considered.

Using these capacities, West Azerbaijan has always followed the path of export growth during the years of the government of prudence and hope.

Two years ago, with the increase in exports from this province and bringing it to about $ 2 billion during the year, many experts considered this amount to be the maximum of exports from West Azerbaijan, but this trend continued strongly and this year with Existence of coronary heart disease and long-term blockage of the province's export borders, it was expected to reduce exports and the possibility of significant exports from this province, but this did not happen.

About $ 1 billion worth of goods were exported from the customs of West Azerbaijan in the first half of the year

Confirming this success, the supervisor of the West Azerbaijan Customs, who is in charge of presenting the export statistics from the province, said: "In the first half of this year, 571,817 tons of goods worth $ 998 million were exported through the customs of this province."

Tohid Azarbod, noting that due to the outbreak of the Corona virus and the closure of the borders of West Azerbaijan earlier this year, exports decreased, he added: "This amount of exports in terms of weight by 18 percent and in terms of value by 11 percent compared to the same period last year .

He continued: "Also during this period, 151,868 tons of goods worth $ 264 million entered the province through customs and border markets, which is 47% less in terms of weight and 36% less in terms of dollar value."

He said: in the first half of this year, 605,150 tons of goods have been transited through the customs of the province.

He stated that the dollar value of foreign goods transited through the customs of West Azerbaijan is more than $ 1.7 billion and added: "This amount is 33% in weight compared to the same period last year and 38% in dollars due to the spread of the virus." The corona and the closure of the province's borders with neighboring countries show a decrease at the beginning of the year.

The supervisor of West Azerbaijan Customs added: "Of this amount, 207,200 tons worth $ 918 million in foreign transit are destined and 397,949 tons worth $ 798 million in foreign transit are originating, which shows a decrease compared to the same period last year."

The value of each ton of exported goods of West Azerbaijan reached 1.6 thousand dollars

The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan also said in this regard: "The average value of goods exported from the province this year has increased compared to the same period last year, so that from one thousand and 280 dollars per ton to about one thousand and 630 The dollar has arrived.

Gholamreza Babaei added: "This increase of $ 350 per ton indicates an increase in the added value of items exported from West Azerbaijan."

He said: fruit concentrates, dairy products, fruits, breads, home appliances, utensils, hand-woven carpets, minerals, ores, clothing and various types of motor oils are among the products exported to foreign countries.

He continued: "This amount of items has been exported to Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, China, Qatar and Georgia."

West Azerbaijan has the most exports from the three borders of Sarv-e-Urmia, Razi-e-Khoy and Bazargan-e-Mako to Turkey and, of course, Tamranchin Piranshahr to the north of Iraq.

Export of 285,587 tons of goods from Tamerchin customs to northern Iraq

The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan, noting that tamarind is one of the most important export borders of the country to Iraq and the north of the country, said: 258,587 tons of goods were exported from this customs during the first half of this year.

Gholamreza Babaei added: The value of this amount of exported goods was more than 412 million and 373 thousand dollars, which is an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year.

He added: The main export goods of this bazaar included cement, metal products, rebar, food, industrial equipment, fruits and machine-made carpets.

The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan continued: During this period, 2,232 tons of various goods needed by the country were imported from this customs and tamarind market.

Babaei said: "In the first half of this year, the value of goods imported to West Azerbaijan was 9 million and 376 thousand dollars, which increased by 35% compared to the same period last year."

He said: "The most important goods imported from this customs and border market also included heavy machinery and machine parts and accessories."

Exports of about $ 94 million from Bazargan border

The Director General of Bazargan Customs also said in this regard: in the first half of this year, goods worth 93 million and 862 thousand dollars were exported from this border, which is a good figure despite the trade problems caused by the corona in this border.

Sadegh Namdar, referring to the 22% decrease in the value of exports from this border, said: The volume of goods exported in the first half of this year also decreased by 53% compared to the same period last year.

"Agricultural products, petrochemicals and stone and metal products are the most important export items," he said.

The Director General of Bazargan Customs stated that the whole world is facing a crisis caused by the outbreak of the Corona virus, adding: "With the reopening of the borders in June, we are still witnessing a boom in exports from the Bazargan border."

He also referred to the export of other customs from Bazargan border and said: during this period, 280,809 tons of goods worth 1 billion 319 million and 261 thousand dollars were exported through this customs, which in terms of weight is 71 Percentage and dollar value is reduced by 30%.

Of course, this export success is unprecedented in the government of prudence and hope, which is confirmed by statistics.

Realization of exports of more than 6 billion dollars from West Azerbaijan in the government of prudence and hope

Referring to the success of the government of prudence and hope over the past seven years in using the province's export capacity, the Deputy Governor of West Azerbaijan for Economic Affairs said: "During this period, 6 billion and 71 million dollars worth of goods have been exported to different countries."

Nader Sadeghi added: "This amount of export income has been realized from the export of more than 10 million and 669 thousand tons of different goods, which is a unique figure during different periods."

He added: "During this period, 3,685,000 tons of goods were imported into the country from the entry points of West Azerbaijan, the value of which was more than 5 billion and 128 million dollars."

The Deputy Governor of West Azerbaijan for Economic Affairs, noting that during this period we have witnessed a significant positive trade balance in the province, continued: "In the past seven years, the province's exports have been $ 943 million more than imports."

Sadeghi considered one of the most important capacities of West Azerbaijan to carry out transit using border capacities and said: during the last seven years, more than 9 million and 272 thousand tons of goods have been transited from the province, the value of which is more than 23 billion and 646 million dollars. arrives.

This export capacity can flourish in the second half of this year by overcoming the coronary conditions and improving the situation in Iran, neighboring countries and other countries of the world, and the amount of exports from this province will reach more than $ 2 billion, which is a very good revenue-generating capacity.
