A tripartite agreement on the granting of mining facilities for the exploration and exploitation of the mining and mineral industries was signed by the Ministry of Industry, the Bank of Industry and Mines and the Mining Investment Insurance Fund.

The agreement was signed on Wednesday by Dariush Esmaili, Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries, Hossein Mehri, CEO of the Bank of Industry and Mines, and Saber Sanaei, a member of the board of directors of the Mining Investment Insurance Fund.

Technical and credit assistance will be allocated to non-governmental mining projects introduced by the Ministry of Industry by guaranteeing credit insurance issued by the Fund in the form of Islamic contracts.

The facilities of this agreement are related to those projects which, at the discretion of the creditor, should be supported from the beginning and all of them will be paid from the financial resources by the Ministry of Industry in the form of a loan agreement according to the ministry.

The funds subject to this agreement have been set at 200 billion Tomans, which will be provided from the gradual allocation of public funds contained in the envisaged agreements and will be deposited in special accounts with the Bank of Industry and Mines.

According to the report, according to the Ministry of Industry, about 4,500 inactive mines, which are assessed on a small scale and have exploitation licenses, are currently on the agenda to connect to the production cycle.

Annually, on average, about 400 million tons of minerals are extracted from the country's active mines (about 5,600 mines), 60 to 65% of which are construction materials.
