31 Mining areas of South Khorasan will be handed over through auction
The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of South Khorasan Province announced the transfer of 31 mining areas with exploration certificates and exploitation licenses in this province through a public auction.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Abbas Jorjani announced: The auction of 16 mining areas with exploration certificates and 15 mines with exploitation licenses in the province started on Monday, October 27, and will continue until 7 pm on Monday, October 12.
He added: 15 mines including bentonite, coal, silica, carcass stone, chromite, gypsum, granite, marble and marble in the cities of Tabas, Sarbisheh, Birjand, Ghainat, Nehbandan and Darmian will be handed over through public auctions.
He said: 16 mineral areas with certificates of discovery of perlite, bentonite, tuff, industrial soil, carcass, kaolin, granite and marble in the cities of Birjand, Ferdows, Tabas, Nehbandan, Sarbisheh and Khosf will be awarded through auctions.
Secretary of the Mines Council of South Khorasan Province, emphasizing that the participants in the auction must have a certificate of technical and financial competence required to carry out mining activities, added: Investors must refer to the government's electronic procurement system at www.setadiran.ir to register for the auction.
He stated: The conditions and steps of participating in the auction, the relevant forms and the basic information required by the applicants have been uploaded in the portal of the South Khorasan Silence Organization at www.khs.mimt.gov.ir and the applicants need to study these cases carefully before Participate in the auction to carry out the necessary investigations regarding the intended mine information, including the location of the mine, the quantity and quality of the mineral stock, the extraction and sale of the mineral.
Jorjani expressed hope that by conducting mineral auctions this year in order to determine the task of stagnant and inactive mining areas and fulfill the slogan of the year, new investment opportunities will be provided in the province's mines and mining industries.
Provincial officials had previously announced the assignment of stagnant mining areas in South Khorasan and their transfer to new investors.
Also, with the implementation of aerial geophysical operations that began in 1392 in South Khorasan province and the identification of mineral capacities in the depths of the earth, 200 promising mineral points with an area of more than 20,000 square kilometers have been identified as a result of exploration zones in this province.
Based on these promising points, the companies will continue the exploration work, and as soon as the exploration license is obtained and the mineral is identified, the transfer will be done through an auction.
South Khorasan is one of the mineral provinces of the country and according to the latest official statistics of 65 known minerals in Iran, there are 42 types in South Khorasan.
