Chairman of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce: If we can not change exports in the coming years and double the current figure, we will face a currency crisis.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the currency problem is one of the problems that our country is struggling with these days, but it is not clear whether the government has thought of a solution to this issue or not.

In this regard, Majid Reza Hariri said: "Currently, the situation is such that the government can not do anything for two reasons; The first is the boycott and reduction of oil sales, and the second is the corona, which has further caused non-oil exports to decline compared to previous years. Of course, if non-oil exports did not decline, we would still face a shortage of currency.

He continued: "In the years when we had a good foreign exchange income; Nearly $ 120 billion in annual oil sales and $ 30 billion in non-oil exports, a total of $ 150 billion in foreign exchange earnings, but in recent years our oil revenues have fallen sharply due to oil embargoes and falling prices.

Regarding the possible amount of foreign exchange earnings in the coming year, Hariri said: "Our oil revenue is expected to be $ 5 billion this year at best, and the six-month statistics show that by the end of the year we will probably have $ 30 billion in non-oil exports." If this figure reached $ 40 billion last year. As a result, we will have $ 35 billion to $ 40 billion in foreign exchange earnings this year, at best, while our most cost-effective foreign exchange spending is over $ 50 billion.

The head of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce stated: "Therefore, the situation requires us to adopt austerity policies to manage the existing foreign exchange earnings in any way possible by the end of the year, but unfortunately the income is not commensurate with our expenses." It should be noted that some of the previous demands of the government are received and used, and we still hope that the currencies from the exports of previous years will be returned and we will pass this year in this way. If we can not change exports in the coming years and double the current figure, we will face a currency crisis.

A member of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce noted: "Despite sanctions, the government can not do anything." If it was in the hands of the government in all matters, we could expect from the government that we are in a situation where political decisions in our country are not in the hands of the government alone and the whole system decides. If we spend this year with the same conditions, next year will be more difficult.
