Development of Mining and Mining Industries of Fars Province
Deputy Minister and Chairman of the Executive Board of Imidro: With the beginning of my activity in the Organization for Development and Renovation of Mines and Mining Industries of Iran (Imidro), the development of mines and mining industries with three main strategies to increase exploration operations, infrastructure development and small scale mining We put. Expansion of exploration up to 650,000 square kilometers, increase of infrastructure budget and rehabilitation of small mines in 31 provinces are proof of this claim that we are still determined to continue these strategies.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, he added: "According to this, initially the monitoring of mining affairs in the provinces was at the top of Imidro's programs and now different parts of the country are under Imidro's umbrella with the approach of" production boom and deprivation elimination ". . One of the provinces included in Imidro development programs is Fars province. During my recent visit to this province, some of Imidro's measures and programs for this region were mentioned. Now is the time to talk about the actions that have been taken so far in this province.
Exploration
Exploration operations are the most important strategy of Imidro in Fars province, because we believe that the development of mines and mining industries in different parts of the country passes through this path. Accordingly, in the exploration zone in the north of Fars province, the phase of reconnaissance and search operations in an area of 17,000 square kilometers is planned and so far, reconnaissance phase studies with the introduction of about 5500 square kilometers of promising area and search phase studies in areas of hope The introduced part of the first phase with field surveys and sampling is currently underway, which after analyzing the results, the final report will be presented with the introduction of metal and non-metal susceptible areas.
Also, the comprehensive plan for mineral potential studies in the west of Fars province with an area of about 5700 square kilometers was included in the exploration programs of this province. All study and implementation stages of the plan have been completed and with 90% progress in announcing the results of sample analysis to present The final report of the project and the continuation of the exploration operations in the potential areas are introduced.
In order to identify the province's reserves, in addition to concluding a contract for aerial geophysical studies worth about 350 thousand Euros, a dolomite potential study study project in an area of 28 thousand square kilometers in the south of Fars province was planned to investigate the production of magnesium. At present, identification phase studies have been carried out by taking about 850 samples, and after receiving the results of the first phase, the operation will be continued by conducting dense sampling in susceptible areas and technological tests will be followed.
Due to the completion of reconnaissance operations by the Geological Survey of Iran in the three zones of Fars province and the introduction of 14 promising areas for legal procedures and the issuance of exploration licenses, according to a memorandum of understanding, 14 promising areas for Assignment to Imidro and additional exploration studies in these areas should be done by Imidro.
Activation of small mines
The plan to rehabilitate, activate and develop small-scale mines, which is at the forefront of Imidro's missions, is also being pursued in the province. In this regard, chromite, manganese, hematite and dolomite mines were surveyed by monitoring 40 mines, which led to the introduction of 8 blocks. In this project, 51 inactive and active mines that can be developed on a case-by-case and provincial basis have been identified so far.
Clinical action has been performed on 50 mines and rehabilitation, activation and development of 25 mines (activation of 4 chromite mines by the private sector and 2 abandoned and inactive manganese mines by the private sector this year) and our goal in implementing this project (in the province Fars), activation of 21 mines and construction of 2 processing units.
Unveiling of the most modern aluminum production line
One of the important projects of this province is the South Aluminum Factory (Salco) as the most modern and largest aluminum production line in the country. Imidro and Ghadir Holding, as shareholders, took the necessary measures to set it up in Lamerd Special Economic Zone. A key project was put into production by presidential decree. The Southern Aluminum Company was launched with an investment of $ 1.2 billion, and the relevant boilers are continuously put into production. In order to develop the above project, Salco anodizing unit will be launched in November of this year.
Infrastructure development
Development in Lamerd region did not end with a focus on this project and we decided to develop infrastructure in this region.
The development of the special zone of energy industries on Lamerd and making more than 300 billion Tomans of investment to provide the infrastructure of the region, part of which has been implemented, was considered and this year more than 150 billion Tomans of credit has been provided to complete it.
The construction of Lamerd-Parsian highway is being pursued by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the share of Imidro is being financed. Also, the project of transferring water from the Persian Gulf to the special zone of energy industries on Lamerd is underway.
Straw steel and pelletizing
Completion of Neyriz revitalization project and acceleration of completion of steelmaking project are among the other actions of this organization in Fars province. At present, contracts for the construction of foreign equipment and steelmaking have been concluded, and so far the progress of this project has reached 53%. In order to develop the infrastructure in this project, the water transfer project from Cheshmeh Ashegh Neyriz Dam to Ghadir Neyriz Steel Complex is underway.
Kharameh pelletizing project is being implemented with the participation of the private sector with an investment of 105 million Euros and 150 billion Tomans. On the other hand, in order to develop the road transport of the above plan, the second section of Kharameh Neyriz road with a credit of 1020 billion Tomans will be started this year. The project of this 30 km route is in the tender stage.
Also, the consortium for the construction of a hematite iron processing plant in the north of Fars province between the miners of Dehbid and Bavanat, Khorrambid regions is being finalized. With the formation of this consortium, in addition to the hematite iron plant, 14 mines in the region are currently They are closed or operating at minimum capacity, will be activated and will extract minerals at their highest capacity.
Also, the optimal use of the province's industrial soils is another Imidro program. For this purpose, feasibility studies for the separation and extraction of pyrophyllite minerals and de-ironing from refractory reserves of susceptible areas of Fars province are being pursued by this organization.
Other measures
Other measures being taken by Imidro in Fars province include the construction of a brick factory from Marne, support for the construction of a paper and stone factory in Kharameh, a joint private company to build a 200,000 ton unit of aluminum products in Lamerd, and studies on Lakes of the province, the construction of a lime factory (PCC) in Darab city, the conclusion of a contract for the construction of a sodium cyanide production plant with the participation of the private sector mentioned.
However, the development of the mining sector and mining industries is being carried out by Imidro in Fars province, and it is hoped that in the near future the fruits of these measures will reach the country, especially the honorable people of Fars.
