The Deputy Minister of Small Industries of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran announced the revival and re-launch of 767 industrial units since the beginning of the year.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Asghar Mosaheb said: with the re-launch of these units, 13,577 people have been employed or jobs have been established. Currently, there are about 46,000 small and medium-sized industrial units in the country's industrial towns, of which 9,800 are inactive and stagnant; In 1999, the revitalization of 1,500 industrial units across the country is planned and on the agenda.

The interviewer announced: with the return of 767 industrial units to the production cycle since the beginning of this year, 51% of the plan formulated for the revival of small and medium industries in 1399 has been operational.

The Deputy Minister of Small Industries of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran said: "According to the plan to revive 27,000 jobs in stagnant industrial units, the realized employment statistics in the rehabilitated units are more than 50% of the total employment from this program."

The interviewer added: Tehran province with 81 units, Isfahan province with 60 industrial units and Mazandaran with revival of 51 industrial units, respectively, have allocated the highest number of re-launching of industrial units since the beginning of this year. The average per capita employment of each re-launched industrial unit is 18 people and the investment made to revive these units is more than 2,560 billion tomans with a per capita investment of about 3 billion and 300 million tomans.

The interviewer continued: During the past week, 27 new industrial units have been re-launched and returned to the production cycle. The reactivation of inactive units has been done by handing over to the new investor, financing, obtaining an investor partner, providing raw materials, leasing on condition of ownership, resolving the problems of the partners' dispute, and so on. The experience of previous years in restarting inactive units shows that in the second half of the year, better performance occurs in this area, and we hope that this trend will be achieved in 1399 with the measures taken and the cooperation of related agencies more than before.
