Referring to the importance of economic development in rural areas, he said: "North Khorasan is a rural province and 44% of the people of the province live in rural areas, so the development of these areas is very important."
The head of the North Khorasan Management and Planning Organization said: the construction of 1,500 five-kilowatt solar power plants in the rural areas of the province is underway, which can enable and create sustainable employment for the villagers.
He said that this action is carried out with the participation of Imam Khomeini Relief Committee and Welfare and with the focus on construction mobilization: so far, the implementation of this project has been visited in a thousand rural places and technical approval has been obtained and investment is ready.
Parsipour mentioned the approval of the annexation of Bojnourd airport to the special economic zone, the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of five industrial zones in Pish Qala, Gholaman, Safiabad, Kharq and Jorglan and the follow-up of the commissioning as other important measures taken in the province.
Regarding the important projects of the resistance economy in the province, he said: "North Khorasan is an agricultural province and a large part of the province's employment is in this sector, so we are trying to implement economic plans depending on the capacities in each city."
He said: in Esfarayen city, a plan to develop the cultivation of medicinal plants, nomadic tourism and greenhouse cultivation of aloe vera has been approved, and in Shirvan city, a plan for nomadic and border tourism as well as a light livestock breeding plan is being pursued.
Parsipour pointed out: in the border city of Raz and Jirgalan, due to the power and interest of the people in the silkworm breeding industry, a plan to revive breeding is on the agenda, also the plan to breed Turkmen thoroughbred horses has been approved as a plan of resistance economy.
He said: "One of the problems in the noghandari industry in Raz and Jirgalan is the incompleteness of the cocoon production chain. In this regard, we are trying to create handmade carpet value chain infrastructure in this city in the form of a resistance economy plan."
