The Deputy Minister of Small Industries of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran announced the revitalization and re-launch of 767 industrial units since the beginning of the year.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Asghar Mosaheb said: with the re-launch of these units, 13,577 people have been employed or jobs have been established.

He added: "Currently, there are about 46,000 small and medium industrial units in the country's industrial towns, of which 9,800 are inactive and stagnant;" This year, the revitalization of 1,500 industrial units across the country is planned and on the agenda.

The interviewer said: with the return of 767 industrial units to the production cycle since the beginning of this year, 51% of the plan formulated for the revival of small and medium industries in 99 has been operational.

The Deputy Minister of Small Industries of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran said: "According to the plan to revive 27,000 jobs in stagnant industrial units, the realized employment statistics in the rehabilitated units is more than 50% of the total employment from this program."

The interviewer added: Tehran province with 81 units, Isfahan province with 60 industrial units and Mazandaran with 51 industrial units revived have the highest number of re-launching of industrial units since the beginning of this year, respectively.

A member of the board of directors of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran stated: The average per capita employment of each re-launched industrial unit is 18 people and the investment made to revive these units is more than 2 thousand and 560 billion tomans with per capita capital. The investment is about 3 billion and 300 million tomans.

The interviewer continued: During the past week, 27 new industrial units have been re-launched and returned to the production cycle.

He added: "The re-launch of inactive units has been done by handing over to the new investor, financing, obtaining an investor partner, supplying raw materials, leasing on condition of ownership, resolving the problems of partners' disputes, and so on."

The Deputy Minister of Small Industries of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran stated: The experience of previous years in restarting inactive units shows that in the second half of the year better performance occurs in this area and we hope this process will be adopted this year. And the cooperation of related devices should be realized more than before.
