Deputy Minister of Mines of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: In the first half of this year, 2.5 million tons of minerals were extracted in the province, which has increased by 5% compared to the same period last year.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mehrdad Ghasemi added: Minerals extracted from 103 active mines include refractory soil, gypsum, iron ore, carcass stone, silica and decorative stones.

He continued: "In addition, this year, for the first time, the process of extracting magnesium from the province's dolomite mines will be exploited and all its steps have been done. In this regard, an industrial unit has been established in Sefiddasht industrial town. It is expected that magnesium will be extracted from the end of the year." Deputy Minister of Mines of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Industry, Mining and Trade Organization informed about the exploration studies in the northern regions of the province by 2 Imidro groups and the Geological Survey and said: "These studies, which started in the province two years ago, have just ended." Ghasemi continued: "Out of the five areas studied by Imidro in Markadeh region, licenses have been issued for exploration from three areas, and licenses will be issued for the other two areas soon to determine the exploration operations and the announcement of the type and storage of minerals in these five areas."

He also announced the liberation of 15 stagnant mines in the province during the first six months of this year and said: "These inactive mines were disqualified and liberated through the Mines Council, of which eight mines have been announced through auctions and inquiries. New investors are assigned.

Ghasemi pointed out: During the same period, 12 billion rials were received from the government salaries of the mines in the province.
