Acting Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of South Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: The definite reserves of minerals in the province in the first half of this year increased by 13 million and 104 thousand tons.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Hojjat Imantalab announced: At the beginning of this year, 14 mining exploitation licenses were issued in South Khorasan with an investment of 135 billion and 630 million Rials.

He added: "The total annual extraction of this number of licenses is 254,490 tons, which has been issued for the extraction of minerals such as iron ore, copper, calcite, carcass stone, bentonite, barite, industrial soil, marble and all kinds of decorative stones."

The Deputy Head of Mines and Mining Industries of the South Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, referring to the prominent and effective role of mines in creating employment for indigenous people and reverse migration to villages, stated: With the issuance of this number of licenses in the first half of this year for about 80 Created straight.

He said: The highest number of exploitation licenses issued during this period has been in Ghainat and Bashravieh counties.

With the implementation of aerial geophysical operations that started in 1392 in South Khorasan province and the identification of mineral capacities in the depths of the earth, 200 promising mineral points with an area of ​​more than 20,000 square kilometers have been identified as a result of exploration zones studies in this province.

Based on these promising points, the companies will continue the exploration work, and as soon as the exploration license is obtained and the mineral is identified, the transfer will be done through an auction.

South Khorasan is one of the mineral provinces of the country and according to the latest official statistics of 65 known minerals in Iran, there are 42 types in South Khorasan.
