Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan: 68 types of minerals have been identified in the country, there are 51 types of this number in this province, which is in the stage of exploration and exploitation.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Parisa Abedpour stated: The definitive reserve amount of four hundred and eighty-nine mines of West Azerbaijan was one million two hundred and twenty-one thousand six hundred and fifty-seven tons, which in this section for five thousand and two hundred people Employment is provided directly in the mining sector of the province.
He continued: "Mines are considered as economic drivers in every country and due to the vastness of minerals and the existence of valuable reserves in the province, investing in this sector will have a brilliant economic growth for the province in the coming years."
The Deputy Minister of Mining and Mining Industries of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan said: "The main minerals are used in industries such as construction, cosmetics, health, steel and oil and such factors."
Abedpour added: The conversion industries of this province are also active in the sectors of processing and extraction of gold, decorative stone, production of cement, lime and gypsum and the industry of production of micronized powders.
He pointed out that the amount of investment in the mines of West Azerbaijan is three thousand seven hundred and forty billion and one hundred and thirty-eight million rials, he said: annually seventeen million six hundred and eighty thousand eight hundred and twenty-five tons of minerals from The mines of this province are mined.
West Azerbaijan is one of the richest provinces in the field of mining, but the lack of processing units leads to the sale of raw materials of many of these minerals.
