The ground for trade relations between Iran and Azerbaijan is provided
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of our country in a videoconference meeting with the Minister of Transport, Communications and Advanced Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to expand regional rail infrastructure and communications.
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami talked with Ramin Gholizadeh, Minister of Transport, Communications and Advanced Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, via video conference about the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Referring to the support and emphasis of the Presidents of the two countries on the need to develop cooperation in the fields of transportation and transit, the two sides expressed hope that by completing joint projects, they will be able to expand cooperation between them.
The parties emphasized on the construction of a joint car bridge on the Astarachai River in Astara, the need to complete and fully operate the Astara-Astara railway terminal, given its capacity and role in moving goods, as well as the construction of the Rasht-Astara railway. He was among the ministers of the two countries.
In this meeting, our country's road and urban development is discussed about the railway lines in Iran and its connection to most of the southern ports of the country, as well as the vast capacity of our country's railways in the north-south and east-west routes and its connection to the railways of neighboring countries. Presenting and emphasizing our country's readiness to take advantage of each other's opportunities.
