Growth of the mining sector despite sanctions
The first miner to encounter an obstacle in the first loop called an exploration certificate. The exploitation license will not be issued until the discovery certificate is issued, and the two are interdependent. After this stage, we are witnessing the stage of extraction and exploitation of the mine, for which measures must be taken.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, it is natural that, given the geographical and climatic conditions of our country, mines are no less important than other energy sources such as petroleum products, and they are just as important as oil.
Given that the issuance of exploration certificates and mining licenses increased last year, it can be said that mining activity has grown a significant percentage compared to previous years in the same period.
In fact, it can be said that sanctions have become an opportunity for the growth of the mining sector. The main reason for this growth can be seen in the imposition of oppressive sanctions, which in a way benefited the mining sector. At the time of the sanctions, the abolition of Barjam and the resulting pressure on the country, the only part that could survive was the mining sector.
Despite the sanctions, the mining sector not only did not weaken, but entered the economy stronger. In this process, although the import of some materials into the country was restricted or banned altogether, this increased the competition between the private sector and the government for exploration; Thus, we have witnessed an increasing growth in the mining sector compared to previous years.
In particular, part of this growth has been influenced by the actions of previous years and the growth of exploration operations. Issuance of exploration certificate and mining exploitation license is the result of exploration operations in the country. The number that was announced last year and showed an upward growth belonged to 1392 or 1393, which shows that it has gone through a five-year process.
This is especially true for metal ores, which are more extensive, time consuming, and more cost-effective than other sectors. In fact, metals have a much larger volume of operations than non-metallic minerals.
The importance of the discovery certificate should be noted below. The first miner to encounter an obstacle called an exploration certificate in the first round. The exploitation license will not be issued until the discovery certificate is issued, and the two are interdependent. After this stage, we see the stage of extraction and exploitation of the mine, for the growth of which measures must be taken.
