Triple the price of tires and parts for heavy vehicles
Secretary of the Association of Truck Owners' Associations: One million tires are imported through domestic production, five hundred thousand tires are officially imported and three million and five hundred thousand tires are imported through informal imports. Or it is done in bulk import without paying customs duties and so on.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Ahmad Karimi stated about the market need for tires and the amount of domestic production: In 1397, it was announced by the responsible organizations that for public transport of goods and passengers and the inner and outer city fleet We need five million tires, which is five hundred thousand domestically produced tires, so the person who claims that the market needs can be met through domestically produced is illiterate and uninformed about transportation.
He continued: "One million tires are imported through domestic production, five hundred thousand tires are officially imported and three million and five hundred thousand tires are imported through informal imports, which are also imported informally either with Colbran, or in free zones or to Bulk import is done without paying customs duties and so on.
The Secretary of the Association of Truck Owners' Associations, stating that this procedure should have been organized, added: "The Ministry of Industry did not have any information in this regard and what the manufacturer and importer suggested was the criterion. The tire has access to statistics and information.
He stressed: "The important issue is that the tires used in the private sector should be separated from public transport."
Referring to the elimination of the government dollar from rubber imports, Karimi said: "Since May, the government changed the status and group from government currency to half currency by the order of the government, and now the exchange rate is between twenty and twenty-one thousand tomans, if Until a few months ago, tires were delivered to the consumer in government currency of 4,200 tomans.
The secretary of the Association of Truck Owners' Trade Unions continued: that is, if we had bought a pair of tires for four million Tomans in the last four months, now we have to pay more than twenty million Tomans for it.
He added: "In the meantime, some mischiefs took place, so that the remittances of the existing tires were registered in the system by the Ministry of Silence, and the remittances were issued by the Highways Organization and delivered to the consumer." But recently it was said that there is no tire to supply. When the currency group changed to import tires, some sold the tires they had imported in government currency at higher rates.
Karimi said about the consultation to solve these problems: the Minister of Roads and Urban Development has held talks with the first vice president and according to the information received, the tire that will be declared in the customs currency in government currency will reach the consumer by September 22 this year. At present, there are about five hundred thousand tires in the country's customs, which belong to the public transport sector, and if this amount is cleared, it can create a balance in the market.
The secretary of the Association of Truck Owners' Associations stated that tires have an effect on the average transportation price between eighteen and twenty-two percent. The registration of tire requests is also closed, and if we want to buy tires in half currency, we must meet our demand from the open market.
Referring to the increase in tire prices, he emphasized: "Unfortunately, the price of tires has tripled since the beginning of the year, and some sizes are not available in the market." On the other hand, tires that are widely consumed in the country have less imports than the market needs, which has also caused problems.
Karimi said that the lack of tires could cripple the cargo fleet. "The lack of tires has caused drivers to use the saving method to continue tire activity, which is a temporary solution," he said. The very important issue is that the lack of standard and reasonably priced tires in the market and the lack of parts for heavy vehicles will cause severe road accidents with fatalities that these events and damages are irreparable.
The secretary of the Association of Truck Owners' Associations stated that we are currently silent about the problems of parts to solve the tire problem, adding: "The price of parts has also increased sharply and has become three times more expensive since the beginning of the year."
Criticizing the unreasonable increase in the price of trucks, he said: "Currently, the price of a truck has been predicted by domestic car companies to be around one billion and eight hundred million to two billion and three hundred million tomans, which is unrealistic and the price can be afforded for these cars." One billion was offered, so we know that it is our right for car companies to explain the cost analysis for the production of a truck or heavy vehicle, how they were able to increase the price of a car to two billion and three hundred million tomans.
