Head of Industry, Mining and Trade Department of Neishabour city: Up to one million tons of minerals are extracted annually from the mines of Neishabour city.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Reza Purkavian stated: At present, there are sixty-eight mines with exploitation licenses in Neishabour, of which only twenty-three are active mines and forty-five are inactive.

He announced the nominal annual extraction capacity of sixty-eight mines as 1,623,150 tons and stated: The definitive reserve of these sixty-eight mines is seventy-six million tons.

The head of the Department of Industry, Mines and Trade of Neishabour city added: "Currently, the direct employment created is one hundred and sixty people. Also, out of sixty-eight mines, eight mines are processed in the place of those mines."

Purkavian said: Neishabour city has nineteen different types of minerals including iron, gold, mineral pumice, salt, limestone, decorative stones (marble), industrial soils, gypsum, chromite, manganese, carcass stone, silica, sand, chrysocola , Pozzolan, silicon, lead and zinc, copper ore, etc.
