The bill to amend the law on direct taxes, a step towards government approval
The process of reviewing the bill to amend the law on direct taxes was completed at the meeting of the Government Economic Commission and was included in the agenda of the main meeting of the Cabinet.
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, considering the country's economic situation, the challenges arising from the issue of economic transparency and intensification of inequalities in income and wealth distribution, as well as the provisions of resistance economic policies, review the country's tax system. It is necessary and in this regard, with the cooperation and consultation of the executive bodies, the private sector and university professors, the bill to amend the law on direct taxes in three general areas: "Organizing tax exemptions and incentives", "Implementation of the tax system on total income of individuals And "Establishment of property tax (including property income tax, annual property tax and annual vehicle tax)" for the design and through legislative steps.
In addition, the bill aims to improve the distribution of wealth, impose annual residential property tax (expensive) and annual car tax (luxury) and support the business environment, abolish stamp duty tax and tax on dividends and company shares and reduce corporate tax rates. Rates from twenty-five percent to ten percent are also considered.
In the main committee of the Economic Commission of the Cabinet, the process of reviewing the bill was completed and was included in the agenda of the main meeting of the Cabinet for final approval.
It is worth mentioning that the main meeting of the Economic Commission was chaired by Farhad Dejpsand, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and attended by Abdul Nasser Hemmati, Governor of the Central Bank, Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, Kazem Khazavi, Minister of Jihad Agriculture, Jamshid Ansari, Deputy Chairman Jafar Sarghini, Acting Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology, Hossein Ali Amiri, Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs and other representatives of the Ministries of Economic Affairs and Finance, President and Head of the Administrative and Employment Organization And Urban Planning, Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Industry, Mining and Trade, Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, and Defense and Support of the Armed Forces, Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones, Vice President for Science and Technology, Municipality Tehran, the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, the Vice President for Legal Affairs and the Central Cooperative Chamber of Iran were established.
