Farooj paper factory in the stage of transferring equipment to the country
Head of North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: So far, the sheds of Farooj paper factory have been installed and it is in the process of transferring equipment and machinery from abroad to the country.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Reza Firoozeh added: "This factory with a production capacity of eighty-eight thousand tons of products made of composite granules based on polymer and calcium carbonate powder and thirty thousand tons of paper production has entered a new executive phase."
He added: "Also, a production license for a 5,000-ton unit of this type of industry has recently been issued, which is in the follow-up and implementation stage."
The head of the North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, referring to the province's condition in terms of rich mines, stated: "Considering the favorable condition of the mines, it is important that production and investment capacities be considered and the province has this capacity." To become the center of calcium carbonate paper production in the country.
Firoozeh added: "Specifically, considering the situation of allocating government currency for the import of this commodity, production and industry have an economic justification, and the printing industry should be directed to this direction, which plays an important role in the resistance economy, prosperity and leap in production in this field." He said that about six hundred and ninety-eight million tons of iron ore mines have been identified in the province so far, adding that a large area of these mines is related to calcium carbonate.
Earlier, the deputy director of the plan and program of the North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization had said: the corona outbreak caused a delay in the implementation of the stone paper production project in Farooj city, although this project is scheduled to be put into operation this year.
Mahyar Mashayekhi had stated: The project of producing stone paper in Farooj has been delayed due to corona, but the investor will put the first phase into operation this year.
Mashayekhi had said: The products of this production unit are composite granules based on calcium carbonate and its capacity is eighty-eight thousand tons of products per year, and this year, the production of rock paper will be opened.
He also stated: with the start of operation of this unit this year, forty-five thousand tons of paper and granules will be produced.
High durability and strength, moisture resistance and recyclability are the most important features of rock paper.
In 2016, with the localization of this industry in Yazd, Iran joined the four countries that own this industry, such as Canada, China and Taiwan.
