In a videoconference meeting with the Turkmen Foreign Minister, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development stressed the lifting of any restrictions aimed at expanding transit and trade between the two countries.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development, expressing concern over the border closures that have created many problems for the two countries, stated: "The sincere and strategic dialogue between the two presidents reflects the long-term strategic relations. Develop cooperation and necessary measures and draw the path to access it.

Referring to Turkmenistan's investment in one of Iran's southern ports, Eslami said: "This investment is one of the most important issues of cooperation between the two countries." We once again invite the representative of the Turkmen side to continue the negotiations in this regard by being present in Iran.

In another part of the meeting, he stressed the need to expedite the reopening and streamlining of the safe passage of the Sarakhs and Inchehbrun borders and the prevention of rail stops at the border points, and called on the Turkmen side to take action to resolve these problems.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development said: "Iran's foreign policy is based on the development of cooperation, building trust and streamlining trade relations between countries, especially with neighbors."
