The safety situation in the mines of West Azerbaijan is favorable
Deputy Minister of Mines of the West Azerbaijan Mining Industry and Trade Organization: The safety of the province's mines is in good condition.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Parisa Abedpour stressed the need for miners to provide safety items and equipment in the mines, adding: During the year, on average, a few cases of injuries due to not paying attention to safety negativity are reported.
He noted that the monitoring is being carried out diligently: an underground salt workshop in Khoy was closed due to unfavorable safety conditions in the workshop, and workers are working inside and outside the workshop.
He stated that the mining capacity of the province is seven hundred and forty-nine thousand three hundred and fifty tons, and specified: the amount of definite reserves of the province's mines is about nineteen thousand six hundred and fifty-six thousand tons.
Abedpour, stating that forty-four mining licenses have been issued in the past year, said: the amount of employment created is about three hundred people.
He continued by stating that twenty-one exploration licenses have been issued in the group of decorative stones and facades: Thirty-eight exploration licenses and thirty-nine discovery certificates have been issued in the province during the past year.
