Sanctions; An opportunity for Iran to become export-oriented
Chairman of the Iran-Switzerland Chamber of Commerce: Given the importance of non-oil exports, we must turn sanctions into an opportunity for the country to be export-oriented.
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, Sharif Nezam Mafi stated that the presence of economic advisors can be an effective lever so that the private sector can successfully be present in the target markets and establish good business relations. Work together, traders and trade unions and know the strengths and weaknesses of Iranian exporters. In addition, it can be a good advantage for them if they are preferably economic advisers from the private sector with experience in trading with the country of mission.
He said that now that the focus of our exports on sanctions has become important, the presence of an economic advisor from the private sector can solve problems, adding: "If the advisor is from the heart of the private sector and trade and is familiar with the destination country in terms of laws and restrictions." Yes, it can be a strong arm alongside traders, that is, play the same role that advisers and economic offices and export development of European countries play in Iran. Also help with customs and currency restrictions, finding business counterparts, joint ventures and investments.
The head of the Iran-Switzerland Chamber of Commerce expressed hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chambers of Commerce, the Ministry of Silence and the Trade Development Organization could work together to develop exports, saying: "Basically, the general economic needs should be considered and goals should be coordinated." Just as South Korea and Turkey attach importance to exports and pursue complementary policies within the country, that is, in addition to meeting needs, they remove barriers to exporters. There may be many obstacles in the target countries, such as the domestic laws or standards of each country. With small changes, we can take advantage of the situation and increase exports to the target country.
He stressed that now, considering the importance of non-oil exports, we should turn sanctions into an opportunity for the country to be export-oriented. "Turkey, as an export-oriented country, has a strong support sector. A permanent exhibition of Turkish goods was established in Iran." The country's economy was trying to expand trade with Iran. Therefore, it has well-coordinated domestic policies so that companies can export, and in this regard, the government has considered good subsidies for exporters, which is why the country has good markets among its neighbors.
Nezam Mafi reminded: "If we can have active trade offices in the target countries that showcase Iranian products and merchants after the corona can have indecent meetings, it will be a significant help."
