The stagnant and inactive mines of South Khorasan will be assigned
Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of South Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: One of the serious priorities of the Industry Organization in the year of the production leap in the province is to determine the task of stagnant and inactive mines.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Salari added: out of six hundred and fifty-four active mines in South Khorasan, now there are more than two hundred inactive or stagnant mines that will be reactivated if the ground is provided.
He stated: The operators of these mines will first be given the opportunity to rehabilitate and organize the mines, otherwise we will hand them over to the competent exploiters to determine the task of exploiting the passive mines.
Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of South Khorasan stated: In the year of the leap in production of mineral zones, exploration areas and mining licenses will be assigned.
He stated: Of the sixty-five types of minerals known in the country, forty-two types exist in South Khorasan and are extracted.
Salari continued: South Khorasan has well-known capacities, among which we can mention the existence of more than seventy percent of the country's coal reserves in the province and the city of Tabas.
He reminded: "We are one of the top provinces in the country in the mineral magnesite, in a way that there are more than seventy percent of the country's known reserves in this province and we have more than seven million tons of definite reserves."
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the South Khorasan Silence Organization said: "Currently, we have 20 tons of identified gold in the province, and in this regard, two gold processing factories are under construction, which has made significant progress."
He specified: Two gold mining projects are under construction with an investment of two hundred and eighty billion tomans and employment of one hundred and thirty-four people in the province.
Salari added: "Due to the good reserves of metal minerals, including iron ore, three steel and cast iron factories have been built or are being set up in the province."
He stated: "We have planned with the cooperation of the headquarters for the rehabilitation and activation of small-scale mines in the country, to be able to set up new processing units next to the mining colonies of the province."
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the South Khorasan Silence Organization stated: "In the last two years, we have made new discoveries in the field of mines in the province, which will increase the production capacity and job creation of the mines."
