Seventeen percent growth in Iran's exports to Eurasia after the implementation of the agreement
Head of Iran Trade Development Organization: Iran's total exports to Eurasia after the implementation of the agreement until the end of June this year amounted to six hundred and eighty-one million dollars, which has increased by seventeen percent over the same period last year.
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, Hamid Zadboom, Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, assessed the statistical performance of the interim agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union and member states from the implementation of the agreement, from November 26 last year to June 30 this year. explained.
He said: "According to the analytical statistics published by the Iran-Eurasia Cooperation Office in the Trade Development Organization of Iran, which according to the statistics announced by the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the implementation of the agreement, November 25 last year to June 30 this year, total exports Iran to Eurasia after the implementation of the agreement until June 20 this year amounted to six hundred and eighty-one million dollars, which has increased by seventeen percent over the same period last year.
The head of Iran's Trade Development Organization stated: "Iran's total imports from Eurasia after the implementation of the agreement until June 20 of this year amounted to one thousand seven hundred and thirty-six million dollars, which has increased by thirteen percent compared to the same period last year."
Zadboom said that the total volume of trade between the two countries reached 2,417 million dollars, which has increased by 14% compared to the same period last year. This growth rate in total trade, despite the outbreak of the Corona virus and the decline in international trade in recent months, indicates the stability of trade with the Eurasian Economic Union and the ability to develop trade and economic relations between Iran and that union.
He added: "The volume of Iran's trade with Eurasia in the items subject to the interim agreement on the establishment of a free trade zone between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union. Which has increased by sixty-three percent compared to the same period before. Also, for goods subject to tariff stabilization, there is a one percent increase in the amount of Iran's exports to Eurasia, and for goods subject to tariff reduction, a growth of seventy-nine percent is observed.
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade said: out of a total of three hundred and eighty-three million dollars of Iran's exports to Eurasia in preferential items from November 26 last year to June 30 this year, forty-nine million dollars equivalent to thirteen percent of our country's exports to the Eurasian Union in Preferred items have been subject to tariff stabilization, and $ 333 million, equivalent to 87% of exports, have been subject to tariff reductions.
Zadboom stated: Iran's main exports to Eurasia in the list of preferences granted to Eurasia in terms of millions of dollars of Iranian imports from Eurasia in the list of preferential items of Iran to Eurasia, since the implementation of the agreement has reached one thousand and twenty, which is 15% compared to the same period Has decreased. Also, for goods subject to tariff stabilization, a decrease of ten percent in the amount of Iran's imports from Eurasia and goods subject to tariff reduction, show a decrease of thirty-nine percent.
He added: "Out of a total of one billion and one hundred and twenty million dollars of Iran's total imports from Eurasia in preferential items, only two hundred and thirty-two million dollars is equivalent to twenty-one percent of Iran's imports from the Eurasian Economic Union in preferential items subject to tariff discounts." They have been unionized, and eight hundred and eighty-eight million dollars, which is equivalent to seventy-nine percent of imports in items for which no tariff reduction has been granted to the Eurasian Union.
Zadboom said: "These items in accordance with the provisions of the agreement are only subject to tariff fixation in the base year of the agreement." The main items imported from Eurasia that are subject to the agreement are the basic items needed by the country such as corn, other barley, meat, lentils, etc.
