The governor of Hormozgan said in a meeting of the provincial mines council on Wednesday evening: "One of the most valuable capacities and opportunities for economic growth of the country without relying on oil revenues is mines. has done.

Fereydoun Hemmati stated: According to the statistics announced by the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, the production of Hormozgan mines in the first quarter of this year has increased compared to the same period last year and since the beginning of this year, seven inactive and closed mines in the province Have been activated for new investors.

He stated: four hundred billion rials have been invested to activate these mines and they have created employment for seventy people.

Emphasizing the need for more efforts and seriousness of institutions and investors in the field of mines in Hormozgan province, Hemmati stated: There are many talents and capacities in the field of mines in Hormozgan province, the activation of which can create good employment.

The governor of Hormozgan stated: the products of the mines also have the field of export and currency exchange, and in general, the role of the mines in the economy of Hormozgan province is very effective and we must pay special attention to this sector.

The Deputy Minister of Mines of the Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization had announced in early May of this year: This year, 54 inactive mines in Hormozgan will enter the production circuit with the support of the relevant agencies.

Ebrahim Saadini stated: The amount allocated for the rehabilitation of these inactive mines is about one thousand billion rials and with the start of operation of these mines, more than five hundred people will be employed.

He pointed out: Last year, twenty-five inactive mines with a credit of four hundred and seventy billion rials were revived and more than two hundred people were employed.

According to the information published by the Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, there are one hundred and twelve mining areas with exploration licenses, twenty-five mines with exploration licenses and two hundred and twenty-six mines with exploitation licenses in this province with total reserves in excess of one and a half billion. There are tons and about three thousand people work directly in these mines.

The basic mines of Hormozgan province include gypsum, iron ore, salt rock, chromite rock and red soil and can be explored for twenty types of minerals in this province.

There are currently one hundred and twenty-five active mines in Hormozgan province, in addition to which a new gypsum mine unit is ready for operation in the province.

Minerals extracted from Hormozgan mines are used in construction, steel, gypsum, sand, cement and brick industries, which in addition to domestic consumption, are exported to the Persian Gulf countries and China.
