Due to the existence of various mines in Iran, the mining sector is considered one of the most important drivers in the development of the country; The sector, which senior officials, economists, experts and activists in this field, while acknowledging the possibility of upgrading this sector, emphasize the inadequacy of the mineral share in the economy.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, one of the most important economic features of Fars province is having various mines in different places; A capacity that facilitates its growth path can lead to the growth of the province's gross income, the creation of sustainable employment, the development of mining and other related industries, and the increasing role of Fars in achieving a leap in production.
Continuing his previous emphasis on the need to promote the share of mines and mining industries in the economy of this province, the governor of Fars once again described the current share of this sector as inappropriate in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Fars Mines.
Enayatullah Rahimi pointed out the problems of obtaining permits and meeting environmental requirements as obstacles to the promotion of mining activities: Previous and inactive permits in the mining sector should be reviewed and followed up.
The governor of Fars emphasized that it is possible to make better use of the existing mineral capacities in Fars by using the provincial authorities, because now the share of mining industries in this province is not defensible.
He added: "You should be a facilitator in promoting the share of the province's mines, and mining activities are possible while maintaining environmental conditions."
Rahimi, stating that saying no to requests is free and simple, said: There are various solutions to provide feedback to the agencies and enforce the rules that must be implemented with the creativity of the trustees; This is the view that leads to solving people's problems.
The governor of Fars on the first day of June in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Mines of the province, emphasized that government and quasi-government agencies in the mining sector should be more policy makers and leaders than executors and if the opportunity is seized in the field to the private sector.
Rahimi, who from the beginning of his tenure as the head of the top management of Fars province, has considered the mining sector and the promotion of the mining industry as one of the necessary beliefs and priorities and has followed this demand, called for the completion of mining infrastructure to improve the use of mining capacities.
The governor of Fars also insisted on the need to increase the powers of the Provincial Mines Council in order to solve the problems caused by centralism, and that this transfer and increase the powers of the executive forces and provincial policymakers can accelerate the process of solving problems and progress.
According to the head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Fars Province, thirty-seven types of minerals have been identified in this province.
Hamidreza Izadi reminded that in Fars, mines of limestone, marl, gypsum, marble, porcelain, refractory clay, industrial soil, blue and rock salt, silica, quartzite, manganese, lead, zinc, chromite, barite, iron ore, copper And granite is being exploited, he added: There are six hundred and forty-three active mines with an investment of nearly seven thousand and three hundred billion rials in Fars.
He pointed out that mining in Fars has created jobs for at least eight thousand people, a variety of extractable minerals, a variety of decorative stones and facades with export advantages, the existence of refractory and industrial soils, raw materials for various construction materials and ... As part of the province's mineral assets and capabilities.
Izadi also said: Fars ranks fourth in terms of the number of mines and the amount of extraction and seventh in terms of mineral reserves in the country, which is a worthy position.
He pointed out that activating and developing small mines is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Silence in the field of mining, paying attention to this sector leads to creating sustainable employment, promoting exports, strengthening industries, increasing the added value of the mining sector and a good opportunity to attract and The development of private sector investment.
Izadi continued that Fars with an annual extraction of more than fifty million tons of minerals is a province prone to this perspective and addressing the obstacles, limitations and problems of the mining sector, will certainly have a positive impact on the prosperity and leap of production.
