According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, without a doubt, the book "Mines in the Qajar Era" by Mir Mohammad Saleh Tabrizi is a valuable work in identifying Iran's mineral resources and the history of our country's mining.

In this book, the names of many current mines of our country such as Sungun, Angard, Dashksen, Angoran and Kuh-e Zar are clearly mentioned. This shows that mining is very deep-rooted in Iran and has a long history. The author of the book, Zande Yad Mirza Mohammad Saleh Tabrizi, clearly speaks of the research of Russian and French engineers in Iran's mines, which shows the familiarity of the powers of that time with the mineral capacities of Iran. In my opinion, it is worthwhile to honor the services of this great man who worked hard to educate the children of this land and water for the rest of his life by naming a mining complex or building a statue.

Tabrizi established a school in the city of Ahar at the end of his life and published Danesh for the rest of his life. We should also thank Abbas Parvarsh for reviving and writing such a great work and use his experiences to improve the mining situation in the country. At the end of this book, Abbas Parvaresh has introduced three other great books on the history of mining and geology in Iran, written by the survivors of Mohammad Zavosh, Keramatullah Alipour and Irajkia, and it is not without grace that those interested in mining can read it.

The late Mirza Mohammad Saleh Tabrizi did a great job during the bad times and conditions of the Qajar period and was able to gather a lot of information from the farthest parts of the country. Of course, the author's information on oil and gas is flawed, as it hints at the existence of bitumen or Gilsonite mines, but does not discuss the southern oil and gas resources. Of course, the author's barriers to accessing information must also be considered.
