Mineral capacities of Yazd province are considered
Governor of Yazd: With the serious will of the officials, the government and the support of the center, the capacities of the mining sector of the province will be considered more than before.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Mohammad Ali Talebi wrote in cyberspace: In the presence of three representatives of the province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Organization for Development and Renovation of Mines and Mining Industries of Iran (Imidro) Mining and trade were held.
He continued: "In this meeting, a report was presented on the implementation of the President's travel approvals and agreements in the field of mines, in order to prevent the sale of raw materials and the implementation of exploration programs in various areas and new investments in the complementary chain."
The governor of Yazd pointed out: "Undoubtedly, paying attention to the indicators of sustainable development, including the environment and planning programs in the field of industry and mining, can double the sweetness of these activities in the people of the province."
Of the province's five hundred and forty-five mines, five are on a large national scale, and the rest are medium to small, and serious support must be provided for these complexes to maintain and develop employment.
Among the national mines, we can mention Chadormelo Ardakan iron ore, Bafgh coal (two mines), lead and zinc of Mehdiabad Mehriz and Saghand Ardakan uranium.
The definite reserves of the province's mines are estimated at about two billion tons.
Yazd is the second mineral province after Kerman and one of the three provinces that has the highest rate of mineral discovery in the country and is one of the top provinces in the field of mineral employment.
About 12,000 people are directly employed in the province's mines, and Yazd ranks second in the country in terms of mineral reserves and first in the diversity of minerals.
