Director General of the Office of Mining Supervision of the Ministry of Industry: No decorative stone mine in the country has been shut down simply because of the demand for government rights. Lack of sales market, local opposition, internal disputes between partners and lack of quality of minerals are among the closures of mines.

According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Abbas Ali Irvani pointed out that the issue of imposing duties on exported raw stones in order to reduce raw material sales and, of course, more attention of farmers and miners to the issue of processing decorative stone inside and creating added value was adopted. "In the current situation, the issue of reviewing and determining the annual fees by this deputy is on the agenda," he said.

He said that no decorative stone quarries in the country have been closed due to the demand of government rights, adding that the simultaneous occurrence of factors such as lack of market, local opposition, internal disputes between partners and lack of quality of minerals ... including The reason for the closure of the mines is that the non-payment of government salaries will be due to the above factors.

The director general of the Ministry of Industry's Office of Minerals Monitoring stated: "Of course, various solutions are provided in the Mining Law and the executive regulations and directives issued by the relevant ministry in order to help miners, which will prevent the closure of mines." Among those cases, we can mention the request for temporary closure by mining operators who, due to one or more of the above reasons, such as the lack of a sales market, etc., are not able to operate during the year.

He added: "The request to reduce the nominal capacity of mining production by simply submitting a request every year that the operator predicts the lack of a proper sales market and the division of debts of state mining rights for one year is one of the strategies of the Ministry of Industry not to close mines."
