The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Kermanshah Province's Industry, Mining and Trade Organization announced the definitive storage of more than six billion tons of Kermanshah mines.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Ezatullah Hassali, Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Provincial Industry Organization, on the eve of the Industry and Mining Day, referring to the latest situation of mines and mining industries in Kermanshah Province, said: Mines have been exported to Kermanshah, of which one hundred and fifty-seven are currently active.

He estimated the investment in the province's active mines at 750 billion tomans and continued: "Currently, about 1,700 people are directly and between 3,000 and 4,000 people are indirectly working in the Kermanshah mines." .

The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Kermanshah Province Industrial Organization announced the annual harvest of Kermanshah mines to be about seven million tons and reminded: it is estimated that the definite reserves of the province's mines will be more than six billion tons.

As a result, the province's main mineral reserves are related to construction materials, he added, adding that the exploitation licenses issued in the province also include marble, dolomite marble, mountain mix and bitumen.

According to the official, there are other mines in the province, including gypsum, feldspar, silica, lime and marl, industrial soil, hegmatite, etc., which are fewer in number.

He added: "We also have the most mines in the field of decorative stone in Islamabad-e-Gharb, Kermanshah and Harsin and in the field of bitumen in Gilan-e-Gharb."

The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Kermanshah Province Industry Organization also referred to the situation of stagnant mines in the province and said: "We have fifty-two stagnant mines in the province, and this year we have plans to activate twenty of them."

He stressed: "Since the beginning of this year, seven mines have been activated and we will soon have the revival of four more mines."

Hasli also referred to the situation of the province's mineral industries and said: "We have two hundred and ninety-four units of mineral industries in Kermanshah, whose investment is close to seven hundred and seventy billion tomans, and their direct employment is seven thousand and eight hundred people."

According to him, ninety-three units are working in the field of sand, sixty-nine units of concrete parts, thirty units of compression bricks, thirty-one stone cutting units and seventeen units in the field of asphalt production, which occupies the largest number of units in the province's mining industry. they give.

The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Kermanshah Province Industrial Organization also mentioned the most important challenges facing the province's mines that prevent attracting investors in this field and said: "One of the most important obstacles is problems with other agencies, especially natural resources and roads and urban development." Licenses.

"Another obstacle to the development of mines and related industries is the lack of liquidity and the difficulty of financing the entry of investors," Hassali said.

He said that the use of mining capacity requires the use of modern technology in the field of extraction and processing, adding: "Unfortunately, we have shortcomings in this area, especially in the field of bituminous mines."
