Acquisition of 2,400 indebted production units by banks
Secretary of the Production Facilitation and Elimination Headquarters: About 2,400 production units have been acquired and closed by banks, one of the state-owned banks alone has owned 4,880 production units.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Meysam Zali added: "One of the state-owned banks alone has acquired four hundred and eighty-six production units."
He added: "According to Articles 16 and 17 of the Law on Removing Barriers to Production, which was announced in 2015, all banks and credit institutions are required to transfer thirty-three percent of their movable and immovable property annually and all proceeds from this transfer." Deposit to the treasury account of the whole country to be considered as an increase in their capital.
Zali continued: "The recent decision of the Monetary and Credit Council was issued about ten days ago, and we hope that it will be notified to the operating banks by the Central Bank in the next two days."
The secretary of the headquarters for facilitating and removing barriers to production called on all producers to submit their applications to the operating banks so that they can benefit from this decree.
Zali added: "The purpose of the Monetary and Credit Council's decision is to determine the task of the production units owned by the banks, and this is a good opportunity for producers."
He called on the banking system not to own and close indebted production units as much as it can, so that in addition to maintaining employment, manufacturing units can continue to pay their debts by continuing to operate.
