The head of the industry, mining and trade agency said that a worker at the Bam Gazik mine had died as a result of carelessness.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Ali Mohammad Bijari stated: At 19:00 on the 2nd of July, an accident occurred on the roof of Bam Gazik mine, which is one of the granite quarries in the province, causing the death of a worker.

He added: "The cause of the accident was the sudden breaking of the stone in the cutting wire machine, which caused the worker who was passing in the lower part to fall on his head."

"Immediately, emergency forces will be dispatched to the scene, but the worker will die before reaching the hospital," said the head of the industry, mining and trade agency.

Bijari reminded that the main cause of the accident was the carelessness of the worker, who should not have passed through the place where the stones were cut, and the other reason was the sudden failure of the stone, which was natural and unpredictable.
