Deputy Minister of Mining Affairs of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade: The country's decorative stone reserves are estimated at four billion tons, some of which are unique in the world.

According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Dariush Ismaili, in a meeting with mining organizations in Markazi province in Arak, added: "Processing of decorative stones is of special importance and the Ministry of Industry supports any investment that can offer modern technologies in this sector."

He said: "The Ministry of Industry, considering the added value of the stone industry, strongly supports investors in the processing of decorative stone."

Ismaili added: "The issue of reducing the effects of decorative stones has been proposed this year, and the realization of this important role in the prosperity of this sector and getting out of the stagnation of mines has an effective role."

The Deputy Minister of Mines Affairs of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade continued: "Activation of 25% of the country's inactive mines in the year of production jump in the country is targeted and is a priority in the plans."

Ismaili said that there are about 10,500 mines in the country, of which about 4,500 are inactive.

Ismaili said: Markazi province is one of the most mineral-prone provinces and has valuable capacities in the field of decorative stones.

He said: the safety of Abbasabad Mahallat mine in Markazi province is not desirable and if the safety problems of this mine are not solved, its activity will be stopped.

The central governor also said at the meeting: "The problems of the province's mines are being considered, but the solution of some of them is not in the province's capacity and should be followed up by various ministries."

Seyyed Ali Aghazadeh added: "Islamic Iran is in the most severe and oppressive sanctions, but it is easy to turn sanctions into opportunities by using internal power and capacity."

He said: "Some of the problems and internal difficulties of the miners are suffering and all efforts should be made to make things easier."

The central governor stated: using the untapped mineral capacities of Markazi province and taking action to increase economic productivity in this sector has the support and serious determination of the relevant national agencies.

In this meeting, the representative of the mining organizations of Markazi province raised their issues and problems in the field of mines and called for solving their problems.

Markazi province, with twelve cities, has a population of more than one million and four hundred thousand people.

Markazi province with about five hundred and fifty mines ranks seventh in the country in this field and so far out of fifty-seven types of minerals in the country, forty-two types have been identified in Markazi province, of which thirty-five minerals are in this region. It is exploited.

More than 4,000 workers work in the mines of Markazi province.
