Twenty stagnant mines in Kermanshah are being rehabilitated
Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Kermanshah Province Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: We plan to revive 250 billion Rials of stagnant mineral investment in the province this year.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Ezatullah Hassali stated that 20 stagnant mines in the province are to be activated this year, adding: "The investment of these mines is two hundred and fifty billion rials and their annual extraction is five hundred thousand tons."
He continued: with the activation of these twenty mines, one hundred and twenty-eight people will be employed.
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Kermanshah Province stated that the main mines of these mines include decorative stone mines, carcass stones, silica and bitumen.
According to Hassali, since the beginning of this year, seven of these 20 mines have been rehabilitated with an investment of 100 billion rials, and the employment of the rehabilitated mines has been forty.
He stated that the annual extraction capacity of these seven mines is three hundred and fifty thousand tons per year and reminded that most of these mines include feldspar mines, carcass stones, silica and bituminous and belong to Kermanshah, Islamabad-e-Gharb, Kangavar, Songor and Gilan-e-Gharb counties.
Kermanshah Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries said: "Despite the good progress we have made in the first months of this year in reviving stagnant mines, the goal of reviving 20 stagnant mines will be achieved."
Pointing out that with the revival of these 20 mines, only about 30 other stagnant mines will remain in the province, for which there is a revival plan, Hasili said: "According to the exploitation license, we now have two hundred and twelve mines in Kermanshah province."
