Governor of Semnan: Lack of water resources is the most serious obstacle and the cornerstone of the province's development, and this water shortage is quite noticeable in all parts of the province, from agriculture and industry to mining and tourism services and even in the province's drinking sector.

According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Alireza Ashnagar mentioned the prevention of soil erosion, flood control and storage and use of water resources due to the implementation of these projects as part of the implementation of watershed management projects and said: should be planned in any way A corner of the province where there is a river, surface water or any other water source has been controlled and used to help development and production in the province.

Dr. Ashnagar announced the start of the implementation of the Finsk Dam in this province and noted that the implementation of this project can help solve part of the water shortage problem in the drinking sector of the province.

The senior executive official announced the efforts to complete the Shahroud water supply project from Qatari springs and said: "Many efforts have been made to complete some semi-finished water projects in the province, one of the most important of which is to follow the drinking water supply plan." Shahroud is through Qatari springs, which unfortunately was stopped for a long time due to some disputes.

Demand of the people of the province from the members of the 11th parliament

He announced the holding of meetings with the officials of Golestan province with the aim of solving this problem and added: "Agreements have also been made in this regard." In addition, instead of supplying water from springs, it was suggested that wells be drilled in the province's territorial waters to supply part of Shahroud's drinking water, and that this semi-finished project be completed and put into final operation.

Ashnagar announced the efforts to complete projects related to the Nimrud Dam in the west of the province and said: "This development project will also help provide drinking water to the people in Garmsar and Aradan counties." Apart from all these projects, the province's super project in this sector is the Caspian Water Transfer Project to the Central Plateau, which can help solve the water shortage problem both in the drinking sector and in the industry and mining sector of the province.

Referring to the studies of this super project, he noted: "This national plan was funded last year with the efforts of the representatives, and this year it has a budget line."

Inevitably due to lack of water

The governor of Semnan mentioned the pursuit of this super project as one of the demands of the people from the members of the 11th parliament and continued: this project is a joint provincial project and all the cities of the province will benefit from it.

The highest executive official of the government in Semnan province mentioned the implementation of this plan as an important plan and said: "Currently, we have rich and huge mines in Damghan that are forced to sell raw materials."

Governor's request to representatives of the northern provinces

He added that many efforts have been made to process these mineral resources: "Water" is the basic need of this mine or many other mines for processing minerals, but unfortunately it is not possible to meet this water need with the current resources of the province.

The senior executive official called for more help and support from members of parliament, especially those in the northern provinces, adding: "We believe that the people of the region and their members of parliament understand the need to address the water shortage problem in the province." In addition, through the implementation of this plan, in the year of the leap of production, they will help the production and employment of the country as one of the basic needs of the country, especially the neighboring provinces. At the same time, the relevant authorities have accompanied and sympathized with the implementation of this important plan, and we, the people of the province, will be grateful to all of them.
