The governor of the Central Bank says that all exporters have until the end of July this year to fulfill their export currency obligations last year and benefit from foreign exchange incentives.

According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, from the first months of 1397 and simultaneously with the increase in the exchange rate in the domestic market of Iran, the Central Bank in order to ensure the return of foreign exchange from exports to the country, on the one hand for exporters. He also said that exporters who return their currency on time will be able to use export incentives.

In recent months, under the influence of the Corona outbreak, a number of exporters have stated that they will not be able to repay the currency on time, and exporters will face serious losses if the central bank does not reconsider the timing of the plan.

Gholam Hossein Shafei - Chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce - In a letter to Abdul Nasser Hemmati, Governor of the Central Bank, in the early days of May this year, the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran protested against the non-notification according to the agreement. He reiterated that 20 percent of the forecast adjustment was not a favor to exporters, but a place to cover basic export rates due to the impossibility of accurate pricing, rising foreign exchange costs due to sanctions, the inability to use the banking system and the like. Certainly, not paying attention to it will reduce exports and impose huge costs on exporters.

Following the letter and the continuation of the private sector protests, the governor of the Central Bank announced today that exporters who meet their foreign exchange obligations by the end of July this year could benefit from export incentives.

The new decision of the Central Bank is based on the decision of the committee subject to Article 2 of the resolutions of the 14th session of the Supreme Economic Coordination Council and the exporters' benefit from the incentives and services of the relevant agencies, organizations and institutions. It has given until the end of July.
