Construction of one hundred thousand workers' housing units
Minister of Roads and Urban Development: The purpose of setting up a cooperative room is to build 100,000 residential units. Construction of workers' houses near industrial estates will be pursued and implemented.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Mohammad Eslami added at the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding with the Iranian Chamber of Cooperatives: "The construction of workers' houses in the vicinity of industrial towns is supported and we will not give up any assistance to build housing in any industrial town."
He pointed to the construction of workers' houses in Caspian and Ivanki towns and noted: "We hope that with the start of these two projects as soon as possible, the working community and managers will be able to live in these houses and take advantage of them."
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development, stating that the goal of the Cooperative Chamber is to build 100,000 housing units, continued: "Wherever there is a need for a resolution of the Supreme Urban Planning Council, the necessary support will be provided."
Eslami added: "Cooperatives have played a lasting role in all areas, and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development has so far been able to pursue various programs and orientations in this area."
He continued: "Today, the memorandum of cooperation between the two sectors of transportation and housing was evaluated. In this memorandum, it was decided to build workers' houses near industrial towns with the interaction and cooperation of the Chamber of Cooperatives."
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development said: "We are trying to activate the agricultural sector in the transportation sector, and based on this, a company has started to build a refrigerated fleet, which will be opened soon, and cooperative unions can use the capacities of this sector."
Eslami continued: "The necessary support will be provided in the discussion of shipping and in the discussion of rail from cooperatives, and so far the shipping company has had very close cooperation with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and this cooperation will continue."
He pointed to the recent decision to modernize the cargo and passenger fleet and said: "The priority of imports is for trucks and in the announcement provided by the Highways and Road Transport Organization, it is decided to use the capacities of all transportation companies to make brokers and Traders cannot enter this section.
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development said: "We have tried to use the oldest and oldest drivers in this sector in the import of trucks, and during the text message sent, drivers are given priority for fifty-five to sixty years."
Eslami added: "Road safety and drivers' health are very important for us, and there are about eight hundred and sixty-three active trucks and drivers in the country, whose contracts have been signed with Iran Khodro Diesel Company for the modernization of their fleets."
Noting that four groups have been licensed to participate in the fleet modernization plan, he said: "According to the law and executive regulations, we have tried to use the capacities of cooperatives and transportation companies in the first place."
Continuing the meeting, the chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Cooperatives said: "There are ninety-four thousand cooperatives in the country that are active in various fields." One million seven hundred and seventy-one thousand people work in these cooperatives, and the number of beneficiaries reaches fifty-seven million.
Bahman Abdollahi added: "We have 4,000 transportation cooperatives, of which 60% of the country's freight and passenger transportation is done in this sector." We also have 12,000 housing cooperatives, of which 18% are country builders.
He stated that creating a job in the country costs an average of one billion tomans, adding: "But in the cooperative sector, less than two hundred million tomans are needed to create a stable and productive job." Paying attention to the cooperative sector for job creation will reduce both unemployment and the development of deprived areas.
The head of the Chamber of Cooperatives stated: "In the field of urban construction and regeneration, we have a great capacity in the cooperative sector, which can be used to their full potential." Of course, three settlements related to workers' houses are to be set up with the help of the country's housing cooperatives.
