Employment of more than eight thousand people in Fars mines
Head of Fars Province Industrial Organization from the activity of six hundred and forty-three active mines with an investment of seven thousand two hundred and seventy five billion Rials and employment of eight thousand three hundred and thirty five people and reserves equivalent to three thousand three hundred and twenty six million tons in Fars province announced.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Hamid Reza Izadi added in the meeting of the Resistance Economy of Fars Province: Based on the characteristics of mineral geology, out of thirty-seven types of minerals identified in the province, twenty-three types including limestone, marl, stone. Gypsum, marble, porcelain, refractory soil, industrial soil, rock and salt, silica, quartzite, manganese, lead, zinc, chromite, barite, iron ore, copper and granite are in operation.
He explained: the variety of minerals that can be harvested, the variety of decorative stones and facades with export advantage, the existence of refractory and industrial soils, huge resources of various building materials, the discovery of dolomite reserves in the south of the province, the existence of iron ore capacities in East Fars and metal mines It is one of the mineral capabilities of Fars.
The head of Fars Province Industry Organization continued: At present, six hundred and forty-three active mines with an investment of seven thousand two hundred and seventy five billion Rials and employment of eight thousand three hundred and thirty five people and reserves equivalent to three thousand three hundred and twenty-twenty. There are six million tons of annual production and extraction of more than fifty million tons of minerals in the province.
He added: "Last year, 15 exploration licenses, 15 certificates of discovery and forty-two exploitation licenses were issued in the province in the mining sector."
Izadi added: Fars province ranks fourth in the country in terms of number of mines and fourth in terms of extraction in the country and seventh in terms of mineral reserves in the country and is one of the provinces with the highest rate of mineral discoveries in the country.
He added that the establishment of mining industry units, whose required minerals can be supplied from the province's mines, will create sustainable employment in addition to preventing the sale of raw materials and completing the value-added production chain.
The head of the Fars Industry, Mining and Trade Organization called the resumption, activation and development of small-scale mines one of the main projects of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade and said: "This project is one of the strengths and hopes in creating sustainable employment and development."
