Support for demand-driven projects; New approach

Gharibpour said: "The new policy of this organization is to support dissertations and projects that meet and meet the needs of mines and mineral industries, and our approach is to support demand-oriented dissertations." Amir Khorami Shad, Imidro's deputy for development and empowerment, also said: "Considering the situation created by the coronavirus, we are conducting training courses as a webinar with the help of universities."

He added: "According to the contract we have with Amir Kabir University, we will also use Iranian professors abroad to hold specialized courses."

Vajihollah Jafari, CEO of Iran Minerals Production Company, also presented a report on the status of mining exploration, production of potash and coal mines, as well as solving the problems of setting up a gold mine.

According to Jafari, the updated program, how to rehabilitate and activate small mines in the new conditions, will be prepared and presented.

New app to support startups

Farid Dehghani, CEO of the Mining Investment Insurance Fund, also said that in line with Imidro's policies, a new format is being developed to support startups.

He added: "This program will be implemented in cooperation with the Vice President for Science and Technology by signing a memorandum of understanding."
