Equipping and rebuilding fifty-nine mines in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari
Head of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: In order to fulfill the slogan of the year based on the jump in production in the field of mining, this year, equipping and rebuilding fifty-nine mines in the province has been targeted.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Sajjad Rostami added: to implement this program, two thousand two hundred and sixty billion rials of credit is needed, of which more than one thousand billion rials have been provided so far.
He explained that last year five million tons of minerals were extracted from the province's mines: "It is predicted that this year, with the activation of a number of stagnant mines and the modernization and equipping of these fifty-nine mines, significant growth can be achieved in mining." To be realized in the province.
Rostami said that one of the challenges in the province's mining sector was the lack of processing and peak units, adding that if it was possible to create peak units alongside the province's leading mines, it would be possible to both increase production and create more jobs.
The head of the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Industry, Mining and Trade Organization noted: "Currently, due to the lack of peak units, for example, from a shipment of marble that leaves the province, fifty percent of it is turned into waste."
Rostami noted that three mining projects in the province, including the Gonbad Namaki mine in Bazarf, Koohrang city, the Dolomite mine in Ardal and Borujen, and the marble mines in Borujen, Lordegan and Ardal, are also ready to be harvested and handed over to the private sector.
According to this report, one hundred and ninety-one exploitation licenses have been issued for Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari mines so far, of which ninety-one mines are active.
From these active mines, eight types of minerals are extracted, including argillite, bauxite, cement raw materials, limestone, salt, refractory soil, silica, and ornamental rocks.
