The Ministry of Energy pledged to build infrastructure in South Khorasan
Head of South Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: The Ministry of Energy has committed to invest 90 billion Tomans to complete the infrastructure, especially electricity supply to the mining potential areas of the province.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Davood Shahraki added: "For investment in the province, following the governor of South Khorasan, an agreement was signed last year with the Ministry of Energy, the Imam Khomeini Executive Headquarters and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade."
He added: "According to the agreement with the Ministry of Energy, this ministry undertook to spend 30 billion tomans every year for three years in the province's mining infrastructure."
He continued: "According to this agreement, the commitment of the Ministry of Silence in various fields of industry, mining, infrastructure and development of carpet and trade industry is three thousand billion tomans."
The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of South Khorasan said: the commitment of three thousand billion tomans of investment in the province doubles the responsibility of the provincial industry organization to pursue this important issue.
He said that the realization of more than two thousand billion tomans of investment is predictable this year, adding: the commitment of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade to complete explorations and identify new mineral reserves is thirty-five billion tomans.
Shahraki stated: Also in the field of coal mines, five hundred billion tomans of joint investment in the form of finas between China and Iran has been committed, which will undoubtedly lead to an increase in coal in the province.
He said: "Two industrial projects, Frosilix and Industrial Lime, are also being studied by Imidro Company, whose projected investment is two hundred billion Tomans."
He stated: The executive staff of Imam Khomeini (as) and the private sector have committed to investing two hundred billion tomans in the field of processing industrial soils.
The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of South Khorasan Province added: "Also, the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization pledged with ten billion tomans to complete the exploration and Shasta Company (Social Security-affiliated investment company) invested about two hundred billion tomans in the coal development plan." He said: In the field of Iran Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO), five hundred and sixty billion tomans of investment has been made for three industrial projects in the province before the new year, which has been approved by the government board.
Forty-six types of minerals have been identified in South Khorasan, the most important of which are coal, magnesite, decorative stones, industrial soils, iron ore, basalt and marble.
In recent years, good measures have been taken in the province's mining industry, including increasing the capacity of mineral reserves from eleven million tons to seventeen million tons.
Last year, 35.5 million tons of mineral reserves were discovered in the mining sector, which increased the province's total reserves to 3.7 billion tons.
