The governor of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, referring to the province's mineral capacity, said: "In the year of production leaps, the prosperity of mines should be a priority in the distribution of the province's industry, mining and trade credits this year."

According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Iqbal Abbasi added at the meeting of the province's mining council: "Mines are one of the important bases for growth and development and prosperity of production, which should be invested in this field more than before."

He continued: "Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari has many capacities in the field of mining, which requires further studies in this regard, and identified areas with valuable metals and minerals and provided the infrastructure for its extraction."

Abbasi added: "The funds allocated to the mining sector should be spent on infrastructure such as water, electricity and gas facilities to attract investors and the private sector."

The governor of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari further stressed the need to determine the duties of inactive mines in the province and said: "Mines that can be activated, to solve the problems of these units in the production barriers removal headquarters should be taken and mines that can not be activated." Their license will be revoked.

Abbasi mentioned the completion of the production chain of mineral products as another necessity in this field and added: "Currently, minerals are exported raw from the province and there is no added value, so investing in the processing of these mineral products is also a necessity."

He said that the priority of handing over the mines in the cities is with the opinion of the mayors, noting that the mayors should pay special attention to this issue, so that the mines are available to the able people and this capacity can be used to boost production.

According to IRNA, carcass stones, facade stones, silica, gypsum, refractory soil, decorative stones and cement raw materials are some of the minerals being extracted from the province's mines.

On average, about five million tons of minerals are extracted annually from the province's active mines.
