Takab mines are the best capacity for mutation production
Governor of Takab: Forty percent of the country's gold reserves lie in the city's mines. Takab gold and stone mines, especially the Zarshuran gold complex, are a good opportunity to realize the leap of production in the region.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mahmoud Zamani met with members of the board of directors and head of the Zarshuran Takab Gold Mines and Mining Industries Complex on Tuesday, adding that more efforts should be made to increase production and create jobs based on Takab's mineral potential.
He said: "Takab of Bakr region has a lot of capacity in agriculture, tourism and mining, which needs to be given special attention in the year of production leaps, and the city's resources should be used optimally for development and job creation."
He added: "Zarshouran Gold Complex needs reforms and structural changes to increase productivity, and the establishment of downstream mining industries and the creation of jewelry workshops using the capacity of gold mines should be included in the plans of managers in this sector."
Zarshuran Gold Factory, as the largest industrial and mineral production unit for gold production and processing in the Middle East, was put into operation in November 2014 with an annual nominal capacity of three tons in the presence of the First Vice President.
Takab is one of the southern cities of West Azerbaijan, located in mountainous areas and is one of the country's mineral hubs due to having two large gold mines in Zarshuran and Aqdara, and according to official statistics, more than forty percent of the country's gold reserves lie in the mountains.
