Head of Semnan Province Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: Mining exploration, including the semi-detailed exploration of the Southern National Metal Belt and the completion of aerial geophysical studies for mineral storage in this province are on the agenda.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Ali Tashneh Del stated: The preparation of geological map sheets of the priority areas of Semnan province in a four-year period is one of the exploratory programs of this organization this year.
He said: "Special attention was paid to exploring the reserves of Semnan province and proper investment, strengthening and empowering the private sector through insurance financial support and reducing investment risk in this sector, and directing sufficient financial resources to exploration was also on the agenda."
The head of Semnan Province Industry, Mining and Trade Organization continued: Identification of hidden copper streams in Taroud-Chah Shirin region, completion of exploration and determination of Haj Ali Qoli desert reserves for potash and magnesium minerals and additional exploration studies of East Semnan iron ore reserves to south Damghan. It is another exploration program in the province.
Referring to the additional exploration studies and identifying the capacities of the chromite veins in the east of Semnan province, he added: "Attention to infrastructure, including road construction and asphalting, access to mines and financial support for mines are other major programs of this organization in the province."
Tashnehdel stated: Semnan province with a capacity of 40% of sodium sulfate production is in the second place in the country.
The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Semnan Province reminded: There are six hundred and twenty-six exploitation licenses for about forty-two types of minerals in Semnan and the annual extraction capacity of mines in the province is twenty-three million tons.
The most important part of the mining infrastructure is mining.
The exploration of the mineral reserves is one of the most costly and risky sectors in the mining cycle, and this is beyond the reach of the private sector, and in this high-risk sector of mining, the government must provide the infrastructure with government funds.
Semnan province, with six hundred and twenty-six mines, is ranked fifth in terms of the number of mines and sixth in the mining index.
