Construction of ten mining processing units in West Azerbaijan
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan announced the establishment of ten processing units in the province with the aim of preventing the sale of raw minerals.
Parisa Abedpour pointed out that the sale of raw minerals in the province is one of the challenges facing the province's mines, adding: "In order to solve this problem, three mineral processing units from the activation of small-scale mines and seven units Processing will be built with the investment of the private sector and the miners of the province.
He continued: "Also, in order to prevent the sale of raw minerals in the field of stone cutting, thirty-nine units with the employment of five hundred and nineteen people and the production capacity of more than eight hundred and twenty-seven thousand tons of processed decorative stones in the field of seventy sand." And eight units with a production capacity of more than eight million three hundred and twenty-three thousand tons of various types of sand and with employment for eight hundred and forty-seven people are directly active in the province.
Abedpour stated that West Azerbaijan is one of the poles of cement production in the country, despite five cement production units with an annual production capacity of more than five million and sixty-six thousand tons of cement and employment for 1,616 people. In addition to meeting the needs of domestic markets, this issue is also exported to foreign markets.
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of West Azerbaijan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said: "Currently, there are one hundred and eighty-three exploration areas with valid exploration licenses in the province, as well as thirty-three mines with exploration certificates and four hundred and seventy mines with exploitation licenses."
