North Khorasan stone export to Afghanistan
Chairman of the Bojnourd Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture: The share of North Khorasan's exports to Afghanistan last year was 18%, which is the highest amount of the province's exports during this period.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Saeed Pourabadi stated: The amount of exports of the province last year in terms of value was one hundred and fifteen million and five hundred thousand dollars and in terms of weight was four hundred and one thousand five hundred tons, which is compared to the same period of the year. Prior to that, the value decreased by fourteen and one percent and in terms of weight by seven and two percent.
He added that India also has 11 and 6 percent, Turkey six percent, China five and four percent and other countries including Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Georgia, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Oman, Syria, Italy and Thailand. Russia, Albania, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Slovakia and Bulgaria account for 50 percent of the province's exports.
He said the province's main exports include petrochemical products such as urea, melamine, ammonia and nitrogen, plastic products including bottles and plastic bags, sanitary pads, steel products, copper pipes, marble cut stones, packaging machines and flour bag filling. Akhal, food includes pasta, energy drinks, sweets and white chocolate, tomato paste, agricultural products including potatoes, apples, electrodes, PVC wallcoverings, calcium carbonate and pipes and hoses.
The head of the Bojnourd Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture stated: The province's imports last year were worth 2,094,000 tons and weighed 4,100 tons, which is valuable compared to the same period last year. It has grown by two and a half percent and decreased by sixty-eight and two percent by weight.
Pourabadi added: Imported goods including light bulbs, warhead lamp caps, gas meters and water meter parts, machinery, components and parts of machinery, pipes and profiles, hexagonal blocks and gas generators for simultaneous production of electricity and heat, transportation container for Fluids, Intersection Rail Needles, Gear Pumps, Rods, Food Grade Boiling Seam Powder, Rice, Dental Hydraulic Press and Ferrosilicon Manganese, Coal Electrode and Ferrochrome-Refractory Cement, Headlights and Machinery and Poultry Machinery And iron hydroxides from China, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Austria, the Republic of Korea Belgium.
North Khorasan has about four hundred production and industrial units with an investment of thirteen thousand billion rials and employment of eleven thousand people, which is the tenth among the thirty-one provinces of the country in terms of having large industrial industries.
The share of employment in this province is in three agricultural sectors with thirty-nine percent and six percent, industry with twenty-four and three percent and services with thirty-six and one percent.
The province's share in agriculture is higher than the national average, but lower in industry and services.
