Two hundred and thirty non-metallic mines are active in Semnan province
Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Semnan Province Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: Two hundred and thirty mines are equivalent to thirty-seven percent of the mines in this province of Semnan are non-dollar.
According to the International Exhibition of Iranian Stone, Mohammad Forouhar stated: These two hundred and thirty non-metallic mines are actively, equipping and seasonally active in Semnan province.
He explained: Ninety-three mines are active, twelve mines are seasonal and not mining are being equipped and the main minerals including barite, coal, zeolite, silica, rock salt, feldspar, sodium sulfate, bauxite, industrial soil, Fluorine is turquoise and sulfur.
Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Semnan Province Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, referring to the diversity of minerals in the province, said: There are six hundred and twenty-six mines with exploitation licenses in this province, which are forty-six percent in the construction materials sector. Thirty-seven percent non-metallic, fourteen percent metallic and three percent decorative stone are active.
The distribution and variety of minerals in the area of ninety-seven thousand four hundred and ninety-one square kilometers of Semnan province is such that twenty-three million tons of minerals are extracted from the mines of this province annually.
Twenty percent of the country's mines are the share of Semnan province. This province, with six hundred and twenty-six mines, is the fifth in terms of the number of mines and the sixth in the country's mining index.
